Pictures of past events 2012

Ariel Rubin

w/John Ducharme

2012 started wonderfully on a warm spring evening with Ariel and Duey as the main event and Rob Morrison returning with Dara Eagle playing a few opening tunes.  It was great to see so many faces from the past and well as an equal number of new ones.  Check out our new sound guy.

Dietrich Strausse

Our second indoor show was on another lovely spring night in May.  Jan Marie amazed people with 6 songs,  her first public performance of her own music.  Dietrich finished up the night with his lyrically poignant songs combined with stellar guitar playing.

Darlngside & brothers mccann

Two incredible bands opened our outdoor series.  First the wonderful three part harmonies of Mike, Pat and Erik with Laurence Scudder on viola followed by the string rock quintet with five part harmonies from Sam, Don, Auyon, Harris and David.  Wow, this just keeps getting better.

Heather Maloney

I had the 2012 schedule set until I heard Heather sing, so I added a seventh date and it proved to be one of the best nights ever.  Her vocal talent shone as she played with Ken and J. J. and she even brought some friends to open the night.  After the show Ken played piano and we sang until after midnight, the sign of a successful night.

Baker Thomas Band

I have a soft spot for Baker Thomas Band.  Every time I listen to them play my happiness quota at least doubles so of course they were first on my 2012 invite list.  Tom & Danielle (summer of 2011), Maureen & Alan, Steve, Tim, Hugh, Marc, Noah (a veteran of The Backyard) and Sarah.  Cops were called (and stayed for the show), there was dancing and the whole neighborhood was treated to a very uplifting night.

Kristen Ford W/Krista page

Kristen is the energizer bunny of the local music scene.  If she isn’t playing in one of her bands she is running events all over town.  The cops were called again but when they saw kids, grandmothers (Kristen’s) and everyone in between enthralled with the music, again they stayed for the show.  Joined by Kara on violin and with Krista and here band opening the show it was truly a night to be remembered.

Jody Blackwell w/ Amy Kucharik

The final evening of the year was a packed house including the balcony seats.  Jody, a Boston veteran singer songwriter and Amy, a new comer to the scene, performed a stellar show with their bands.  There was more dancing, jamming afterwards and people wanting for more but not until 2013
