Jamie Lynn Hart & Shannon Corey

When I asked Jamie to play she asked to co-bill with Shannon.  When I asked Shannon to play she asked to co-bill with Jamie and thus a wonderful evening was born.  The writing and incredible voices of both theses artist are amazing as is the backing of both bands.  I think we have a resident artist also.   A little jamb session afterwards closed the night as it always should.

George woods & erica Leigh

George Woods and Erica Leigh, could there be a better combo?  His guitar work, her voice and great crowd made for a night to be remembered.  I think this is just the beginning for both of these artists amazing careers.

Hayley jane and the primates

Hayley and her band were a prefect match with The Backyard and our audience.  Fun music with great stories to tell and a wonderfully sweet voice.   She even ran sound for our opener Zoe Young.  We were even graced with a full moon to light our night.

Ballroom thieves & Tall heights

Ballroom Thieves is a band to watch and as is Tall Heights.  A different sound with great harmonies and energy to burn.  They’ve become a new favorite of mine and of everyone there that night.

Session americana &

Staxxed

Talk about special evenings.  I have wanted to have Session play The Backyard since I first time I heard then so when they finally agreed we had to make a special night of it.  With catering help from my long time music buddy, Kim Cox, we created a feast worthy of the fantastic music played this night.  I think the crowd agreed.  My good friend Pat Hanlin opened with some dinner music with his new band Staxxed and the celebration continued afterward well into the night.

Melvern taylor &

the brighton ukulele orchestra

Ukulele night at The Backyard.  Starting with The Brighton Ukulele Orchestra founded by Amy Kucharik for this night.  Their version of “It’s a Heartache” and “Hit the Road Jack” were amazing. Finishing with Melvern Taylor, a long time staple in the Camberville music scene. I love his “Love Songs for Losers”  There was dancing afterwards and apparently we knocked someone right out of their boots with the music this night.

Christian mcneil

50 degrees on a early November evening, fire pits and Christian, Jesse Williams, Eric Royer and Tim Gearan outside for our final night in 2013.  Magic would be the best way to describe what happen when you put all these together.  A perfect way to close the season would be another.  Thank you to all the musicians, audiences and special people that make this all possible.
